How to change the number plate on BYD

Good afternoon! I am looking to change the number plate on my BYD. Is there any way to change it without breaking those weird holders? I feel like this is the only way...

To take the plate off, just unclip the two top corners and slide it out gently. Be sure to handle those corner clips carefully so you don't break them!
