BYD Seal SatNav Fail – No English?!

I came across this article about a BYD Seal sold in Hong Kong, and it's pretty disappointing. The owner was surprised to find out that the Satellite Navigation (Amap) doesn't have an English version there. It's bizarre, right? All the other car functions and apps are in English except for the Nav. This is a major headache for customers who don't speak Chinese. I was really pumped about this car and had high hopes it would hit the US market, but now I'm having serious doubts!

While English isn't an official language in Thailand, it's widely understood. Singapore has it as the official language although Chinese is widely spoken .

However, in Hong Kong, where Chinese is the primary language, the navigation system is not available in English. This is surprising, as other car functions and apps are in English. The suggested workaround of using Google Maps through CarPlay doesn't offer the same seamless integration.

Pretty sure it’s just a software thing anyway. Guess it might depend on the market, who knows, right?
